Senior Care Worker Level 3

We are urgently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Worker with a Level 3 qualification to join our team in Dartford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly residents. Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to elderly residents in accordance with their individual care plans and preferences.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  • Administer medication and ensure that residents' medical needs are met according to prescribed guidelines.
  • Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any concerns or changes in condition to the appropriate medical personnel and family members.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for residents, promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, ensuring that residents receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, building trusting and respectful relationships.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily care logs, medication administration records, and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with other members of the care team, including nurses, healthcare assistants, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and holistic care delivery.
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in care provision and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a care setting, preferably with elderly residents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to care, with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and infection control practices.
  • Understanding of person-centered care principles and commitment to promoting residents' autonomy and dignity.
  • Willingness to undergo relevant background checks, including DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a professional attitude towards work and commitment to upholding ethical standards in care provision.
